Insights into the world of Medical Imaging.

Are you a student or aspiring Radiographer wanting to know what it is like to study Medical Imaging at Uni? Do you want to see behind the curtain of working in different departments, modalities or roles to see if it would be a good fit for you?

Remarkable Markers is currently interviewing Radiographers with an array of experience in the field to get their perspectives on what it is like to work within a range of sectors within the job. This is aimed at students, anyone considering a career in Medical Imaging or someone who is interested in exploring the direction of their career and finding out what it is like to walk in the shoes of someone already working in that modality/position.

When I was a budding Radiographer I searched the internet high and low to see if I could find information on 'a day in the life of a Radiographer' working in a trauma setting to see if I would like it. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I am putting together a collection of experiences for anyone else who is searching for this too.

It is also an opportunity for Radiographers at different stages of their careers to share their own insights, give advice to students who may be feeling anxious about placements or working in an unfamiliar environment.

Something I have learned is that everyone has their own way of taking diagnostic images - there are so many tips and tricks and so much to learn from Radiographers with years of experience under their belts.

This project aims to connect future radiographers with a sense of familiarity and what to expect as they immerse themselves into the world of X-Ray and everything that comes with it in a variety of settings.

If you are interested in taking part and sharing your perspective and insight into your experience in medical imaging, please contact us at info@remarkablemarkers.com.au, we will send you a set of questions relating to where you are at in your career and we will send you a gift as a thank you for your participation.
